Back in April during Earth Week, everyone at Practice Hospitality had the profound privilege of participating in a meaningful event—walking for water. This initiative, in partnership with Relate Water, aimed to raise awareness and funds to build water taps in the Nomu Wa Huku village in South Africa. We are thrilled to share that, the taps are now flowing freely!
The impact of this project extends far beyond mere convenience. The 4,000 members of the Nomu Wa Huku village now have access to clean, running water for the rest of their lives. This transformation will foster health, social, and educational upliftment that will resonate for generations. For many of us who have always had instant access to safe, readily available water, it’s hard to fully grasp the profound change this brings to a community that once struggled with scarcity.
The joy and relief felt by the villagers upon receiving this life-changing resource are difficult to capture in words. To experience the celebration of the taps being turned on for the first time, we invite you to watch this touching video.
At Practice Hospitality, we believe in the power of humanity to effect real change. Together, our team members practiced humanity and made a significant impact on lives across the globe. We bring this spirit to our work day in day out and support initiatives that uplift our communities.
